5 Ways to Add Greens to Your Diet

Adding greens to your diet is a wonderful way to nourish your body and your mind. Leafy greens are a great source of vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients that support brain function, aid in digestion, relieve stress, support bone health, and are an excellent plant-based source of protein. But, let's be real, it can be a struggle getting enough greens in your diet. Eating salads every day just isn't realistic, or sustainable, for many of us.

If you're looking for creative ways to add greens to your daily life without restrictive dieting, then this is the post for you!

I have listed 5 ways that you can sneak greens into your diet that are easy & delicious. No more boring salads!

  1. ADD GREENS TO YOUR SMOOTHIES

This is my favorite way to sneak greens in. No matter what kind of smoothie you're making, adding some spinach or kale will boost things up. Mix your greens with some sweet fruits like bananas, pineapple, or mango and you won't even taste the greens!

2. USE A SUPERFOOD GREEN POWDER

Green powders are another easy way to add essential greens into your diet. A lot of times these green powders contain ingredients such as wheatgrass, moringa, spirulina, & chlorella; greens that you probably wouldn't even think to eat!

You can add a green powder to water, smoothies, and juices.

The product that I have been loving is the Cleanse & Revitalize Superfood & Greens Blend by Navitas Organics. A lot of vegan protein powders also contain a powerful blend of greens!

3. KALE CHIPS

Kale chips are another awesome way to sneak greens into your diet! This healthier alternative is a great way to satisfy those salty & cheesy cravings!

You can buy kale chips at your grocery store with all different kinds of flavors, or you can make your own at home!

4. ADD GREENS TO YOUR COOKING

Greens make a great addition to sauces, soups, or your favorite skillet dinners! Throw a handful, or two, of some spinach to your next hot meal for that extra boost of nutrients.

I love to add spinach or kale to my tomato sauces!

5. ADD GREENS TO YOUR SANDWICHES

Whether I'm ordering a sandwich from a restaurant or making a sandwich from home, I always add those extra greens! You can add greens to your favorite sandwiches/burgers or you can skip the bread entirely and use greens as your bun or wrap. A lot of restaurants actually offer a lettuce wrap option which makes it a lot easier.

I hope this list inspires you to get creative with your greens! Always remember that eating healthy is a journey, so any changes that you make to your lifestyle will be beneficial for you and your health. Take it day by day & find what works best for you!

Stay well & keep shining!

Love,

Faith
