Healthy Juices to Fuel Your Body


Lately I've been powering up my home practice with some high intensity power flows. In order to properly fuel and hydrate my body, I've been loving these two juice recipes: A refreshing watermelon berry juice & an alkalizing green juice!

You don't need a fancy juicer for these recipes; just fresh ingredients and a blender!


WATERMELON BERRY JUICE



INGREDIENTS:


*2 cups fresh watermelon

*1 cup fresh strawberries

*1 handful fresh blueberries

*2 cups water


DIRECTIONS:

  1. Add you ingredients to a blender & blend on high for 2-3 minutes.

  2. Pour into a 32 ounce mason jar & enjoy!




HEALTHY GREEN JUICE



INGREDIENTS:


*1 celery stalk

*1 cup kale, or any greens you prefer

*1 apple

*1 lemon, squeezed

*2 cups water


DIRECTIONS

  1. Add all your ingredients to a blender and blend on high for 2-3 minutes.

  2. Pour into a 32 ounce mason jar & enjoy!




NOTES:

-These juices are a wonderful way to start the day but, can be enjoyed any time of the day!

-Since these juices are made in a blender, they do contain some pulp. If you're not a pulp person, let the juice settle for about 5 minutes and allow the pulp to rise to the top. You can then scoop out the pulp and add more water to thin it out. You can also use a cheese cloth or a fine strainer.

-You can also turn these recipes into smoothies by using non-dairy milk instead of water and using frozen fruit instead of fresh fruit.

-Bring these juices on the mat or to your next workout to replenish and refuel your body!
